How the tool works

Accommodation = nightly group cost times nights. Daily spending = daily per-person cost times days times travellers. Add return transport for every traveller and one-off group costs, then apply your buffer to that subtotal. Divide by travellers for the individual budget.

What the result covers

Starting figures are illustrative, not destination price averages. All inputs must use one currency. The all-in daily figure includes transport and one-off costs; it is not a local daily-spending recommendation.

Before you go

Why are days and nights separate?
A seven-day trip often needs six nights of accommodation, but arrival times and overnight journeys can change that. Enter your booked nights rather than assuming one hotel night per day.
Is accommodation entered per person?
No. Enter the combined nightly price for all rooms used by the group. Daily spending and return transport are entered per person.
Does the result include exchange-rate changes?
No. Enter everything in the selected currency. Your contingency buffer can cover uncertainty, but the tool does not forecast exchange rates or prices.
